OMAHA, Neb., Feb. 17, 2026 – Molina Healthcare of Nebraska (“Molina”) presented a $3,000 grant to the Intercultural Senior Center (ISC) in support of its food pantry which serves adults 50 years of age and older. The donation comes at a time when pantries are struggling to keep up with demand due to increased food costs, rising inflation, and uncertainty surrounding government assistance programs.

In Nebraska, food insecurity among older adults remains a persistent concern, particularly for those living on fixed incomes or managing chronic health conditions. More than 30,000 older adults and 20,000 seniors face food insecurity in the state. The ISC pantry not only provides regular food staples, but also items that meet the dietary needs of an aging population.

“Thanks to Molina Healthcare’s grant, the center can continue breaking down barriers to food access and supporting the health and dignity of the seniors we serve,” said Jesse Espinosa, interim CEO, Intercultural Senior Center.

ISC is also serving growing immigrant and refugee populations, whose members can feel isolated by language and cultural barriers. ISC serves older adults from more than 32 countries speaking 25 languages.

“Nutrition is the building block for wellness and Molina is proud to support the ISC pantry and its mission to provide this foundational need to Nebraska seniors from all backgrounds,” said Frank Clepper, plan president for Molina Healthcare of Nebraska.

This is the latest donation by Molina Healthcare of Nebraska to community organizations addressing food security. In the last several months, Molina has provided grants to Crossroads Mission Avenue and hosted food distribution events in Broken Bow and other locations.
