COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 29, 2021 – The MolinaCares Accord (“MolinaCares”), in collaboration with
Molina Healthcare of Ohio (“Molina”), donated $65,000 in support of the Make-A-Day Foundation’s
Mobile Kitchen, a van equipped to prepare and deliver hot meals to individuals experiencing
homelessness in the Columbus area. The mobile kitchen is part of the Make-A-Day Foundation’s
Community Opportunity & Appreciation Team Mobile Outreach Program, which connects homeless
and marginalized people to comprehensive health, behavioral health & human services resources.

“Make-A-Day is an incredible partner committed to improving access to medical and behavioral health
services and valuable social services that have a direct and positive effect on the health and wellbeing of our local communities,” said Ami Cole, plan president at Molina Healthcare of Ohio. “We are
pleased to offer this support and help tackle existing health disparities in the Columbus metro area.”
“Health and well-being encompass much more than healthcare,” said Dustin McKee, executive
director at the Make-A-Day Foundation. “Our partnership with Molina for mobile outreach connects
our most disconnected neighbors to their community and its resources in a holistic way. That starts
with building genuine relationships and showing appreciation for each person’s unique value. In doing
so, we create powerful vehicles for change that lead marginalized people to a healthier, happier
future!”

MolinaCares’ donation accompanied a June 28 ribbon-cutting event with remarks from the following
individuals:
– Ami Cole, plan president of Molina Healthcare of Ohio
– Evelyn Lundberg Stratton, retired justice at the Ohio Supreme Court
– Charleta B. Tavares, chief executive officer of Primary One Health
– Kristin Boggs, state representative and assistant minority leader in the Ohio House of Representatives
– Rob Dorans, member of the Columbus City Council

In addition to meals provided by Make-A-Day, the event offered attendees resources and services,
including:
– Haircuts and beard trimmings
– Health care information from Primary One Health
– Food services from the Mid-Ohio Food Bank
– Rapid rehousing information from Maryhaven
