OLYMPIA, Wash., Aug. 18, 2021 – The MolinaCares Accord (“MolinaCares”), in
collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Washington (“Molina”), donated $25,000 to The
Rural Collaborative (TRC) in support of the organization’s Quality Initiative.
“Molina is proud to support access to quality care and The Rural Collaborative,” said Dr.
Jay Fathi, plan president of Molina Healthcare of Washington. “This initiative will lead to
stronger health systems that can benefit residents in rural communities and support
improved health equity.”

TRC has 21 members (public hospital districts and critical access hospitals) providing
quality care across rural Washington state. The Quality Initiative will enable TRC
members to track overall results and better identify opportunities for collaboration and
improvement.

“We are extremely grateful to MolinaCares,” said Dr. Elya Prystowsky, executive director
at The Rural Collaborative. “This grant will make a significant impact in providing access
to quality care for those in rural communities.”
