CHICAGO – June 1, 2021 – The MolinaCares Accord (“MolinaCares”), in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Illinois (“Molina”), donated $20,000 to Pui Tak Center to continue its COVID-19 vaccination outreach to the vulnerable populations in Chinatown.
“Pui Tak Center appreciates the MolinaCares Accord’s generous donation,” said David Wu, executive director of Pui Tak Center. “With this grant, we will be able to continue our pandemic response here in Chinatown which has already vaccinated over 3,300 people in our community.”
The donation provides support for bilingual staff and volunteers who provide language assistance during vaccination events, marketing campaigns using Facebook and WeChat, and coordination with other community organizations. The donation also supports Pui Tak Center’s services to Chinatown residents including unemployment claim assistance, after-school programs and ESL classes.
