DETROIT July 21, 2021 —The MolinaCares Accord (“MolinaCares”), in collaboration with
Molina Healthcare of Michigan, has donated $10,000 to the Western Wayne Family
Health Centers in support of a COVID-19 vaccination/health outreach program.
“MolinaCares is committed in to keeping our community healthy and safe,” said Dr.
David Donigian, chief medical officer of Molina Healthcare of Michigan. “We are grateful
for this opportunity to partner with Western Wayne Family Health Centers to expand
COVID-19 outreach efforts and to help address COVID-19 related health disparities
among high-risk and underserved populations.”
Funding will go towards expanding COVID-19 vaccinations, testing and treatment, as
well as outreach events for Western Wayne Family Health Center.
“As we encourage people who may be hesitant to get vaccinated to come in for their
COVID-19 shots, support from MolinaCares really helps us out,” said Linda Atkins, chief
executive officer of Western Wayne Family Health Centers. “We can offer small incentives
and make it easier for families to get vaccinated by offering micro clinics in their
neighborhoods.”
