FLINT, Mich. May 12, 2021The MolinaCares Accord (“MolinaCares”), in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Michigan, has donated $10,000 to the Hurley Foundation to support the Child Life Program through the Children’s Miracle Network at Hurley Children’s Hospital in Flint.

As Flint’s only public hospital, Hurley Medical Center helps fulfill the primary purpose of the Hurley Foundation, to expand access to innovative care while promoting health and wellness. The center receives no tax dollars and is entirely self-supporting. Funding from MolinaCares will help support their goal of securing a healthier future for every child, adult and senior in the region. Part of that includes sponsorship of the “MolinaCares Miracle Picnic” to be held later this year.

“We are so appreciative to MolinaCares for their generous donation,” said Mike Burnett, president of the Hurley Foundation. “We are grateful that we will be able to put their funding towards our youngest patients by providing valuable support to our Child Life Program at Hurley Children’s Hospital.”
