The MolinaCares Accord Donates $10,000 to Focus: HOPE in Support of Expectant Parents in Michigan

DETROIT, Mich. April 27, 2021The MolinaCares Accord (“MolinaCares”), in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Michigan, donated $10,000 to Focus: HOPE to expand access to doula care throughout Wayne County.

“We are truly grateful for MolinaCares’ support of our Doula program,” said Keri Gaither, chief development officer of Focus: HOPE. “This generous gift will enable us to serve more expectant parents with physical and emotional support and education.”

A nationally renowned civil and human rights organization, Focus: HOPE provides an intergenerational mix of services to disrupt the effects of racism, poverty and other forms of social injustice in southeast Michigan. The doula program provides support to clients during pregnancy, birth and the early postpartum period.
