CHICAGO, Oct. 30, 2025 — The Molina Healthcare Charitable Foundation, in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Illinois (“Molina”), is announcing a $15,000 investment to support Hamdard Health Alliance’s new Mobile Health Counseling Program. This program enhances Hamdard Health Alliance’s existing Mobile Health Program, adding on-the-ground mental health care to the suite of health care services provided to underserved communities throughout Chicagoland.

In Illinois, Cook County was among the top 20 counties with the highest rates of suicidal ideation, severe depression, trauma survivors, and PTSD. Furthermore, over 4.8 million Illinoisians live in areas that lack mental health professionals. To improve mental health care access, Molina’s grant will cover the cost of 200 mobile health counseling hours in the community, providing at least 400 community intake assessments.

“At Hamdard, we’re dedicated to providing primary and behavioral health services, always putting patients’ needs first,” said Kiran Siddiqui, chief executive officer at Hamdard Health Alliance. “With the support of Molina, we look forward to enhancing these services, expanding our reach in Cook County, and bridging gaps in mental health care that are preventing Illinoisians from reaching their fullest potential.”

The grant comes during National Depression and Mental Health Screening Month, a time to recognize the importance of screenings and raise awareness about mental health challenges. By bringing mental health care directly to Chicago residents, Hamdard Health Alliance’s Mobile Health Counseling Program will reduce geographic and economic barriers to care.

“The Chicago community faces significant challenges in accessing mental health care,” said Kris Classen, interim plan president of Molina Healthcare of Illinois. “This partnership with Hamdard Health Alliance enables us to bring these services directly to Chicagoans, bridging access to care to improve mental health outcomes and create lasting change in the community.”

In addition to this grant, Molina Healthcare of Illinois’ Mobile Help Center has been bringing health care directly to communities across Illinois since 2023. This investment builds on Molina’s commitment to providing easy-to-access preventive health care, connecting individuals to services directly in their neighborhoods.
