BOISE, Idaho, Oct. 6, 2026 – The Molina Healthcare Charitable Foundation, in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Idaho (“Molina”), awarded a $10,000 grant to the Idaho Hispanic Foundation (“IHF”) to support existing programming at their Family & Community Resource Center in Canyon County.
IHF’s Family & Community Resource Center provides immediate and long-term support for over 2,000 families encountering financial hardships every year. In Idaho, nearly half of all Hispanic households live below the ALICE Threshold, a measure that reflects the share of households that cannot afford necessities such as housing, food, transportation, childcare, and healthcare.
“Many families depend on our Family & Community Resource Center to help them get connected to food, housing, mental health services and jobs,” said Mari Ramos, executive director at Idaho Hispanic Foundation. “Molina’s funding will help us continue our outreach and navigation services, making it possible to connect families to healthcare, social services, and information that leads to improved health and greater self-sufficiency.”
The investment will help fund care navigation support for behavioral health and primary care services and health education workshops. Grant funding will also provide cold-weather items, hygiene products, and household essentials for families with immediate needs.
“Care is most effective when it is accessible, understandable, and rooted in the communities we serve,” said Brandon Hendrickson, plan president of Molina Healthcare of Idaho. “Through IHF’s deep connections in Canyon County, this partnership will enable local families to access the resources and support they need to make informed decisions about their health.”
During National Hispanic Heritage Month, this grant highlights the important role organizations like IHF play to ensure community needs are heard and addressed. This latest investment is part of the MolinaCares for Idaho Families initiative, a $250,000 investment to community organizations that play a critical role in improving health outcomes across Idaho.
