On Tuesday, Dec. 19, Senior Whole Health by Molina Healthcare used its Mobile Health Center to deliver over 4,500 donated items to food pantries across the state. The health plan kicked off its fourth annual food drive on Nov. 14, encouraging all employees to contribute a variety of shelf-stable items for those in need. Senior Whole matched employee donations and gave 50 Market Basket gift cards to the pantries to distribute to their visitors.

According to Project Bread, the rate of food insecurity in Massachusetts is approaching its May 2020 pandemic peak. Approximately 18.8% of all households in the state reported food insecurity in September 2023.
