MILWAUKEE, October 3, 2025 – Molina Healthcare of Wisconsin (“Molina”), in collaboration with My Choice Wisconsin by Molina Healthcare and TMG, presented a check for $9,500 to Disability:IN Wisconsin to help make the workplace more accessible for individuals with disabilities. The nonprofit’s work centers on empowering employers with tools, training, and strategies to recruit, retain, and support employees with disabilities.
Disability:IN Wisconsin’s flagship initiative, Partners with Business, helps employers implement best practices for supporting workers with disabilities directly within the workplace. This includes funding for additional on-the-job support when needed, reducing reliance on external job coaches and fostering long-term independence for employees.
“Disability:IN Wisconsin is deeply grateful for the generous support from Molina Healthcare of Wisconsin,” said Saul Newton, executive director of Disability:IN Wisconsin. “This contribution strengthens our ability to provide employers with the tools, resources, and programs needed to advance disability inclusion across Wisconsin. Partnerships like this are essential in building workplaces and communities where all individuals have the opportunity to thrive.”
According to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, nearly 10% of Wisconsin’s population, aged 18-64, and 30%, aged 65 and older, identify as having a disability. Such individuals often and many face barriers to employment, transportation, and healthcare access. Supporting organizations like Disability:IN Wisconsin help remove these obstacles, creating opportunities for people with disabilities to succeed in professional environments, thereby strengthening the workforce and the community as a whole.
“By supporting Disability:IN Wisconsin, Molina is helping expand access to employment resources and trainings that empower individuals with disabilities to thrive in the workforce,” Brit Paulsen, AVP of growth and community engagement for Molina Healthcare of Wisconsin. “This initiative aligns with Molina’s goals to address social determinants of health—particularly economic stability and access to meaningful employment, which are critical to long-term health outcomes.”
