SPOKANE, Wash., Aug. 7, 2026 – Molina Healthcare of Washington (“Molina”) is launching a comprehensive set of initiatives to support individuals and families impacted by the recent wildfires in the greater Spokane area. Through partnerships, targeted member outreach, and deployment of critical health resources, these efforts are designed to help residents stay connected to care and essential services during the response and recovery period.

To bring services closer to affected residents, the Molina MyHealth Mobile Unit has been deployed to Excelsior Wellness’ Indian Trail’s facility, which was damaged in the fires. The mobile unit will be on-site at Yoke’s Fresh Market – Indian trail from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, August 10 through Friday, August 14. Community members can visit the unit during these hours to receive support including medical replacement assistance, care coordination, and health screenings. Excelsior will continue serving as the primary provider for affected individuals and families.

“The wildfires have created significant challenges for our community, but they have also demonstrated the power of partnership,” said Andrew Hill, chief executive officer of Excelsior Wellness. “We are grateful to Molina Healthcare for bringing critical resources directly to the people affected by this disaster. Together, we are working to ensure that healthcare remains accessible and that no one faces these challenges alone.”

Molina also provided a $10,000 donation to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts, including shelter, meals, and essential supplies for residents forced to evacuate. This contribution is part of HELP2NORTHWEST, a broader community fundraising effort in partnership with KREM Cares and other local organizations, and will help sustain support for families as they navigate next steps. Separately, a $5,000 donation to Rural Health Access is strengthening local health services to impacted communities.

“So many of our team members and partners call the Spokane region home, and we are committed to standing alongside this community as it faces the impact of these wildfires,” said Dr. Jay Fathi, plan president for Molina Healthcare of Washington. “By partnering with local organizations, our focus is to protect the health and well-being of our members, providers, employees, and neighbors now and as recovery efforts continue.”

In addition to these initiatives, Molina is distributing KN95 masks, HVAC filters, and air purifiers to members and community organizations to help reduce smoke-related health risks and is conducting proactive outreach to members in the region. Through these outreach efforts, Molina has connected members to information on covered services, community resources and ways to access care and medications during and after this crisis.

For individuals seeking assistance or looking for ways to help, the American Red Cross continues to provide shelter and disaster assistance in the Spokane region. Residents can call 1-800-RED CROSS or visit redcross.org for information on available resources and opportunities to contribute to ongoing relief efforts.
