IRVING, Tex., July 8, 2025 – Molina Healthcare of Texas Grandparents Social Club, together with Heritage Senior Center, hosted a vision health awareness event and vision screenings for seniors at the Heritage Senior Center in Irving.
Vision screenings are an essential part of preventative health care, helping to detect age-related vision problems early and ensuring optimal eye health. As people age, the risk of developing eye diseases increases, making regular screenings critical for maintaining independence, safety, and quality of life.
Seniors (typically age 60 and older) should have a comprehensive eye exam at least once every 1–2 years, or more often if they have risk factors (e.g., diabetes, a family history of eye disease, or existing vision problems).
As part of this free event, attendees received receive eye health information and cleaning wipes for glasses. Light refreshments were also provided.
