RIO BRAVO, Tex., July 28, 2025 – Molina Healthcare of Texas Moms Club hosted a vison health event for the community of Rio Bravo in honor of Healthy Vision Month. This free event featured an informative vision care presentation covering topics including vision development in children, early warning signs to watch for, and the importance of routine screenings.

Regular vision check-ups are crucial because early detection of vision problems can significantly impact a child’s development, learning, and quality of life. Many vision issues, such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and eye coordination problems, may not be obvious and can go unnoticed by parents or teachers. If left untreated, these issues can interfere with reading, classroom participation, sports, and social interaction. Early diagnosis and treatment can help prevent long-term visual impairment, support academic performance, and ensure children have the visual tools they need to thrive.

This special event, held at the Ricardo Molina Community Center, included information on local resources and tips to support healthy vision in children. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and connect with other moms.
