CARROLLTON, Tex., July 28, 2025 – Molina Healthcare of Texas Moms Club hosted a vision health awareness event for residents of Fountains of Rosemeade apartments in Carrollton. This free event featured information on the importance of vision checkups and how vision health is part of a child’s milestones from birth thru age 5.

Regular vision check-ups are crucial because early detection of vision problems can significantly impact a child’s development, learning, and quality of life. Many vision issues, such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and eye coordination problems, may not be obvious and can go unnoticed by parents or teachers. If left untreated, these issues can interfere with reading, classroom participation, sports, and social interaction. Early diagnosis and treatment can help prevent long-term visual impairment, support academic performance, and ensure children have the visual tools they need to thrive.
