Molina Healthcare of Texas Hosts Fall Prevention Events for Seniors in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, Tex., Sept. 23, 2025 – Molina Healthcare of Texas’ Grandparents Social Club, together with the San Antonio Fire Department and Uristi Senior Care, hosted Balance Matters, fall prevention events for seniors from St. Clairs Catholic Church Senior Center and the Salvation Army Senior Center.

Each year, about 1 in 4 adults aged 65 and older experiences a fall, leading to over 3 million emergency department visits and nearly 1 million hospitalizations in the U.S. Falls are the leading cause of injury-related deaths in this age group, with the rate increasing significantly with age.

These free educational events offered seniors tips on safety in the home and information on how to avoid life-changing accidents that could dramatically affect one’s health and well-being. Snacks, gift bags, raffles and door prizes were also included.
