CARROLLTON, Tex., Jan. 5, 2026 – Molina Healthcare of Texas Moms’ Club hosted an educational event on seasonal depression at Fountains of Rosemeade Apartments.
As the days get shorter and temperatures drop, many experience changes in mood and energy. To help moms find out how to combat seasonal depression, this free event featured an informative presentation on Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) — also known as seasonal depression.
Attendees learned about its causes, symptoms, and effective ways to cope. The presentation touched on the following topics:
- Why seasonal depression happens
- Signs and symptoms to look for
- Evidence-based treatments and coping strategies
- How to support yourself or someone you care about
Following the presentation, attendees participated in a fun holiday activity while enjoying some hot cocoa.
