Molina Healthcare of New Mexico Expands Behavioral Health Support for Medicaid Members by Offering LifeConnect Health Services

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – July 25, 2024 – Molina Healthcare of New Mexico (“Molina”) is now making behavioral health services from LifeConnect Health (“LifeConnect”) available to its Medicaid members. Molina members throughout New Mexico now have access to LifeConnect’s committed team of psychiatrists, therapists and clinical tools, including telehealth services, to help address their needs.
According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, nearly 300,000 adults in New Mexico have a mental health condition, and in a recent study, 59.2% of New Mexicans between the ages of 12 and 17 who suffer from depression did not receive any care. As of April 2024, nearly every county in New Mexico is a mental health professional shortage area, meaning there is an insufficient number of health professionals relative to the population.
