RENO, Nev., Feb. 9, 2024 – Molina Healthcare of Nevada, in collaboration with The MolinaCares Accord, presented a $100,000 check to the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum (“The Discovery”), as part of a larger Committed to Nevada initiative.

At The Discovery, funds will support the presentation of a new featured exhibition, Mental Health: Mind Matters, as well as other community programs including financial assistance.

“The Discovery is a valuable educational resource that opens and broadens the developing minds of our kids,” said Dr. Nima Alinejad, chief medical officer of Molina Healthcare of Nevada. “Molina shares The Discovery’s commitment to supporting our youth in Nevada and improving the lives of those in our community. Through this grant, we are proud to support their STEM education efforts and exhibitions such as Mind Matters, which helps to raise mental health awareness in people of all ages.”

The Mental Health: Mind Matters exhibition will be open to the public on February 10. The exhibition is included with general museum admission. Families can visit the museum for $5 per person on Wednesdays from 4 to 8 p.m.
