SPARKS, Nev., July 31, 2024 –  Molina Healthcare of Nevada (“Molina”), together with Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada, recently hosted a diaper distribution for families in Sparks.

The cost of diapers is a growing strain on family budgets. In Nevada, the cost of infant care is 14% of a two-parent household income and 37% of a single-parent household income. Nationally, 25% of parents say they have missed work or school due to not having enough diapers required to drop children off at daycare.

“Molina is committed to Nevada and to improving the lives of families and children across the state,” said Kim Gahagan, associate vice president of growth and community engagement, Molina Healthcare of Nevada. “We are grateful to partner with Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada to help get families off on the right foot by easing the financial burden that comes with bringing home a new baby.”
