Molina Healthcare of Nebraska Donates Hundreds of New Coats to Children in Need Across the State

LINCOLN, Neb., October 13, 2025Molina Healthcare of Nebraska (“Molina”) and community organizations throughout Nebraska partnered to distribute 672 winter coats to children at six education sites. The recipients were kids in traditionally underserved areas of Nebraska, including many Native American youths.

“Molina’s generous donation of coats will make a meaningful difference for Native youth in the community,” said Trisha Harms, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, Carl T. Curtis Health Education Center. “Beyond providing warmth, these coats help ensure children attend school, stay active in cultural and community events safely during the winter months. Molina’s gift eases financial hardships for families and shows the youth that they are cared for, supported and valued.”

“Molina is dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities we serve, and we are proud to partner with education-driven organizations to meet this need,” said Frank Clepper, plan president for Molina Healthcare of Nebraska. “Warmth is a basic need but an important one that impacts many other determinants and of health. Partners include Carl T. Curtis Public Health Education Department, Educational Service Unit #13, and Head Start in Lincoln, Holdredge, Lexington and Minden.
