Molina Healthcare of Idaho Supports Alzheimer’s Association and Walk to End Alzheimer’s
This year, the Molina team reaffirmed support for the Alzheimer’s Association and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s – the world’s largest event dedicated to raising funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. In Idaho, Molina contributed $15,000 and sponsored both the Pocatello and Treasure Valley walks in 2025. Team members came together to honor individuals impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementias through a walk and Flower Ceremony.
The need for this support remains significant. In Idaho, approximately 30,000 individuals are living with Alzheimer’s. To help meet their needs, 74,000 Idahoans serve as caregivers, providing an estimated 118 million hours of unpaid care to loved ones each year. These caregivers play a critical role in the healthcare system, often balancing emotional, physical, and financial demands while supporting loved ones. This growing demand underscores the importance of ensuring caregivers have access to resources, education, and community support.
Recognizing this need, Molina has made caregiver support a key part of its broader commitment to raising awareness and strengthening communities. Molina has supported several caregiver conferences and programs, initiatives that provide education, connection, and peer support for individuals living with dementia and those who care for them. These include the Alzheimer’s Association’s Cuéntame Mas education series and Idaho Health Continuum Of Care Alliance’s SMART workshops, and Dementia Café programs, where Molina volunteers help foster supportive environments.
Additionally, Molina recently partnered with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare’s Alzheimer’s and Dementia Related Disease Alliance to help advance statewide initiatives focused on education, caregiver resilience, and creating dementia-friendly communities.
Through these efforts, Molina is not only investing in critical resources and partnerships, but also helping to build a more informed, compassionate, and supportive environment for Idahoans affected by Alzheimer’s. As the need continues to grow, Molina remains committed to standing alongside members, caregivers, and community partners to drive meaningful progress and ensure individuals have the support they need to face this disease.
