Molina Healthcare of California Donates $10,000 and New Gate to MVUSD, Distributes Fresh Food to 200 Residents in Need

MORENO VALLEY, Calif., Dec. 15, 2025 – Molina Healthcare of California (“Molina”) held a drive-thru food giveaway at the Moreno Valley Health & Wellness Center. Produce for 200 families was packed and distributed by Molina volunteers and the Moreno Valley Unified School District (MVUSD). The event aimed to address growing food insecurity in Riverside County (12%), which has increased 41% from just two years prior.
The partners also celebrated Molina’s donation of a new gate at the center that aids MVUSD staff with safety, traffic flow and overall efficiency for food assistance events. In addition to the gate, Molina presented the MVUSD with a check for $10,000 in support of their efforts to address food insecurity.

D. “Our partnership with Molina is essential to its success. Addressing food insecurity directly impacts our community’s well-being and a student’s ability to focus and learn. We are incredibly thankful for Molina’s generous donation, as well as the new gate, which is already improving safety and operational efficiency as we continue to host these vital assistance events.”
