New initiative seeks tribal member input to enhance health care services for Arizona’s Native American communities

PHOENIX, Ariz., February 25, 2026Molina Healthcare of Arizona (“Molina”) announced the launch of its Native American Member Advisory Committee (NAMAC) to better understand the unique challenges and health care needs of members of Arizona tribal nations.

This new initiative aims to improve service delivery to Arizona’s tribal communities by listening to members’ experiences. Molina invites Native American members to participate in quarterly meetings where they can provide vital feedback on their experiences. Committee members will share insights, discuss questions about benefits and services, review communications, and offer suggestions for improvements.

“The Native American Member Advisory Committee will have a significant impact on how we deliver care to tribal communities across Arizona,” said Minnie Andrade, plan president of Molina Healthcare of Arizona. “We recognize that listening directly to our members is essential to creating programs that truly meet their needs. This committee reinforces our dedication to culturally responsive health care that respects and addresses the unique requirements of Native American communities.”

Molina is seeking Native American members and caregivers willing to serve on the committee with the term lasting for at least one year. Meetings will be held quarterly, lasting approximately 1-2 hours, and will be conducted both in-person and virtually to accommodate participants throughout Molina’s service area. Committee members will receive compensation for their participation, recognizing the value of their time and insights.

“Native American communities bring deep cultural strengths to their health and wellness. They also often face unique health care challenges, including higher rates of chronic conditions and barriers to accessing care,” said Cassandra Peña, tribal program manager of Molina Healthcare of Arizona. “We are committed to creating an environment where tribal members feel empowered to share their health care experiences and help shape how we deliver services to their communities.”

Interested Molina members can apply by emailing AZTribalRelations@MolinaHealthcare.com or calling (480) 589-0680. A Molina representative will follow up with application materials and required documents for committee membership.

The NAMAC builds upon Molina’s ongoing dedication to serving Arizona’s tribal communities, most notably through its Annual Tribal Health Symposium. Molina will host its 4th annual Tribal Health Symposium on October 6, 2026, at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Resort, reaffirming its commitment to building strong, collaborative relationships with tribal partners.
