Molina Healthcare Charitable Foundation Presents $45,000 to Viola’s House at Community Diaper Giveaway

BROWNSVILLE, Tex., July 22, 2024 – The Molina Healthcare Charitable Foundation, in collaboration withMolina Healthcare of Texas (“Molina”), recently presented a $45,000 grant to Viola’s House in support of a mobile medical unit that will serve Brownsville and the surrounding community. 

Following the check presentation, Molina, together with Brownsville Parks and Recreation Department and Viola’s House, hosted a free diaper giveaway for members of the community.

Viola’s house was formed in 2008 as a maternity home, providing temporary housing and support services to expectant teenage mothers aged 18-24. Viola’s House utilizes an impactful approach to help teen expectant mothers make enduring, positive changes in their lives. The program provides the basic life necessities of housing, food, and clothing, in addition to life skills, education, and training in financial literacy, parenting, and counseling. Viola’s House takes a preventative approach and provides a comprehensive second chance prevention program.
