Virtual Panel: Enhancing Senior Care and Wellness Through Place-Based Supports

June 26 @ 11:00 am 12:00 pm EST Virtual Panel

The MolinaCares Accord, in collaboration with Senior Whole Health by Molina Healthcare, is proud to present a virtual panel examining how the Place-Based Supports (PBS) approach improves health outcomes for seniors.

Nearly 50% of older adults living alone lack the financial resources required to pay for basic needs including food, medicine, clothing, and hygiene products. To meet the unique needs of seniors, MassHealth has introduced the PBS Initiative – an approach to care integrating community health and well-being strategies into Senior Affordable Housing Sites.

On June 26, we will convene a panel of experts to address the importance of food security, crisis intervention, behavioral health, the integration of resident and service providers into specialty housing, and more through the lens of the PBS model.

Host: William Graham, plan president, Senior Whole Health by Molina Healthcare

Keynote: Emily Cooper, chief housing officer, Executive Office of Elder Affairs

  • Steve Beauregard, executive director, New Bedford Housing Authority
  • Pam Bolarinho, vice president of acute care services, Child and Family Services
  • Kim Brooks, chief operating officer for senior living, Hebrew SeniorLife
  • Cheryl Schondek, chief operating officer, The Greater Boston Food Bank
