Virtual Panel: Behavioral Health in the Aftermath of Hurricane Ian

Hurricane Ian’s legacy of devastation isn’t limited to property damage. The mental health needs of survivors and first responders can last for years.

A recent virtual event hosted by The MolinaCares Accord, in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Florida, saw state experts and community leaders discuss how providers, community-based organizations, and other health care stakeholders could help support Floridians’ behavioral health post-Ian.

The event was hosted by Molina Healthcare of Florida Plan President Mike Jones, with a keynote address from Representative Sam Garrison.

Kimberly Moore, a longtime central Florida reporter, moderated a robust discussion with the following panelists:
