Florida hospitals and health care systems continue to face critical workforce shortages, especially among nurses. A 2021 analysis found the state will face an overall shortage of 59,000 nurses by 2035.
As key stakeholders from policymakers to institutions of higher learning in Florida work to address this pressing issue, this panel, hosted by Dr. Mark Bloom, chief medical officer of Molina Healthcare of Florida, explored how innovations and future investments can bolster health care capacity to meet patient needs now and in the future.
