SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Aug. 4, 2026 – Molina Healthcare of Utah (“Molina”) and CommonSpirit Health teamed up to host a successful Healthy Connections Wellness Fair on Saturday, August 1, providing individuals and families access to health screenings, social services, and resources from 23 community organizations.
In Salt Lake City, more than 24% of residents report not having a primary source of care, making it harder to stay healthy and get help when challenges arise. Through this event, Molina and CommonSpirit Health helped close that gap by connecting more than 100 Utahns to services directly in their community. Attendees also enjoyed free haircuts from student hairdressers.
“Holy Cross Hospital was delighted to collaborate with Molina to host this community-focused event,” said Bryan McKinley, president of Holy Cross Hospital – Salt Lake. “Salt Lake City is fortunate to have many excellent resources, yet sometimes their availability is not widely known. This fair provided a valuable opportunity for Central Salt Lake residents to discover services that can enhance their health and overall well-being.”

Hosted at Holy Cross Hospital’s Moreau Auditorium, the event offered attendees a wide range of resources, including information on health access navigation services, domestic violence support, behavioral health and substance abuse recovery services, and other critical community programs that all aim to improve health and stability for local families.
“We recognize that navigating healthcare and wellness options can sometimes feel complex,” said Greg Bell, an organizer of the event. “Our goal was to create a fair where individuals could easily access the support they need. Molina Healthcare and CommonSpirit Health enthusiastically joined us in making this idea a reality.”
The event also featured short presentations from local health experts, including one focused on mental health recovery and another on weight loss management.
“By creating a one-stop destination for health information and services, the event strengthened connections between residents and the organizations dedicated to improving well-being and quality of life across the city,” said Brandon Hendrickson, plan president of Molina Healthcare of Utah. “We are fortunate to partner with CommonSpirit Health to bring critical health and wellness resources directly into the neighborhoods they serve.”
