Molina Healthcare of New Mexico Holds Ribbon Cutting for Gallup Resource Center

Gallup, N.M., September 12, 2024 – Molina Healthcare of New Mexico (“Molina”), along with representatives from the Navajo Nation Department of Health and the Navajo Nation Division of Behavioral and Mental Health Services recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate Molina’s Gallup Resource Center, located at 1300 West Maloney Ave. inside the Rio West Mall. With the center’s re-opening, Molina members in the Gallup area will continue to have access to quality health care resources, information on holistic and traditional healing services, along with Internet access to coordinate health care services and other health care benefits.
“Molina is dedicated to creating pathways for easier access to quality health care resources that meets the need of our local communities,” said Carolyn Ingram, plan president for Molina Healthcare of New Mexico. “I am particularly proud of the fact that all staff at the center are from the local community and fluent in Navajo, allowing them to translate and connect services directly to community members.”
The center is one component of Molina’s efforts to improve health outcomes and quality of life for families in rural areas across the state, including McKinley County where 15.1% of residents lack health care coverage and only 40.9% of homes have connection to high-speed internet, complicating access to care.
Molina’s Gallup Resource Center is open to the public Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
