Miracle Minds Therapy Student Mental Health Conference Focuses on Supporting Behavioral Health for Clark County Youth
Molina Healthcare of Nevada presents $50,000 to Miracle Minds Therapy
LAS VEGAS, April 18, 2024 – Molina Healthcare of Nevada (“Molina”) recently presented $50,000 to Miracle Minds Therapy during its Student Mental Health Conference. Molina’s donation will fund school-based behavioral health services for youth in Clark County School District.
Miracle Minds is a non-profit organization that has been providing mental well-being support and resources for Nevada communities since 2010. Its recent conference featured a lineup of panelists discussing critical topics such as Nevada legislative action, prevention, and early intervention for youth and adolescents.
A recent study showed 38.4% of adults in Nevada reported symptoms of anxiety and/or depressive disorder, compared to 32.3% of adults in the U.S. In 2021, approximately 20% of adolescents (ages 12-17) in the U.S. reported having a major depressive episode in the past year.
“Depression and anxiety are affecting Nevada residents at a higher rate than the rest of the nation,” said Dr. Nima Alinejad, chief medical officer for Molina Healthcare of Nevada. “Molina is committed to helping address the root causes of behavioral health concerns and that starts with supporting our youth.”
Committed to Nevada, Molina is supporting Miracle Minds Therapy and other behavioral health organizations throughout Clark County and the state.
