Molina Healthcare of California and Pyx Health Announce Partnership to Address Social Isolation
LONG BEACH, Calif. – July 6, 2022 – Molina Healthcare of California (“Molina”) today announced a partnership with Pyx Health, created to help improve behavioral health outcomes by addressing loneliness and isolation Molina members may be experiencing through responsive technology
“Reports indicate that health issues related to social isolation and loneliness have been exacerbated during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Abbie Totten, plan president of Molina Healthcare of California. “Reconnecting members to resources through Pyx Health’s platform allows us to assist our most vulnerable populations with social supports and clinical services in real time.”
Recent studies show a 45% increase in mortality rate[1] and 68% increase in hospitalization rate[2] for people suffering from loneliness and social isolation in comparison to other groups.
