Local Health Plans Partner with TODEC Legal Center to Support Medi-Cal Expansion

VICTORVILLE, Calif. – May 7, 2022 – As part of their commitment to increase health equity in local communities, Molina Healthcare of California (“Molina”) and Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) are partnering with TODEC Legal Center to support Medi-Cal’s expansion for older, low-income Californians over 50 regardless of immigration status beginning May 1st, 2022. The three organizations announced their partnership and the“Get Covered” campaign during press conferences at TODEC Legal Center offices in Coachella and Victorville.
The partnership prioritizes outreach and education efforts to California communities about Medi-Cal’s expansion which went into effect on May 1,2022. The ultimate goal of the campaign is to connect families to needed care and increase the overall health and well-being of local neighborhoods. With the Medi-Cal expansion, newly eligible Californians are able to access no-cost health services that are critical to improving whole-person care including, doctor visits, prescriptions, vision care and hospital stays.
