MolinaCares Accord Unveils Resource Closet Providing Free Dental Kits to Adults and Children in L.A. County
LONG BEACH – Apr. 28, 2022 – The MolinaCares Accord (“MolinaCares”), as part of their ongoing commitment to whole health initiatives and community-based partnerships, unveiled a “Molina Closet” at the Adventist Health White Memorial providing free dental kits to adults and children in need at an event at Adventist Health White Memorial. Each kit contains a toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss and mouth wash for Adventist Health’s family dental education program.
Each Molina Closet serves as a resource center that aims to increase community access to health care. In this case, the Adventist Health White Memorial closet broadens patient access to dental care products and supplements the organization’s education program. MolinaCares’ efforts speak to their broader commitment to the East L.A. community, L.A. County, and community based organizations that uplift whole health needs.
“We are passionate about providing organizations like Adventist Health White Memorial with the tools they need to continue serving patients,” said Abbie Totten, plan president of Molina Healthcare of California. “With this Molina Closet, we are thrilled to enrich their dental education program and dental care resources that improve patient access to healthcare.”
“Our patients are our first priority and we’re thankful to receive such an important resource closet from MolinaCares that enriches our community’s wellness experience,” said John Raffoul, Adventist Health White Memorial President. “These kits help further our mission to provide high quality care to L.A. County and educate the community about the importance of dental health.”
The unveiling of the Molina Closet was attended by a representative from the office of California State Senator Maria Elena Durazo.
